Raiders Roll

The SV Raiders Swim and Dive Team continued their undefeated season with a win over the Mars Fighting Planets last Thursday. The final scores were SV girls 97, Mars girls 78, and SV boys 108, Mars boys 48. New WPIAL cuts included senior (and girls team captain) Emily Tekelenburg and Freshman Haihan Xu in the 200 freestyle, and sophomores Abby Perry and Cara Della Toffalo in the 100 butterfly and the 500 freestyle, respectively. Raiders divers assisted with the win, with seniors Mackenzie Clark and Meghan Keppler, Juniors Trevor Elliott and Matt Laslavic, Sophomore Ashley Felitsky, and Freshman Jeremiah Laslavic contributing 26 total points and taking first, second, and third place, overpowering the Mars divers.

The Raiders are heading into the final four weeks of their season - both teams have a season-to-date 9-0 record and a combined 89 WPIAL-qualifying times in individual and relay events - with meets this week away against North Hills and next week at home against North Allegheny.
