SV Divers Shine at WPIALs
It was a very exciting day for Seneca Valley diving. The girls came out strong and held up against the tough competition. Kenzie Clark earned the top spot for SV finishing in 4th place. Kenzie will advanced to the PIAA state meet for the second time in her two year career with the team,. Ashley Felitsky finished 10th as a first time WPIAL competitor. Meghan Keppler finished 11th for her fourth visit at WPIALs. Rylie Smith showed her talents and finished 12th in her first appearance at WPIALs after qualifying the two previous years. The divers contributed 37 points to Seneca Valley which will be combined to our swimmers totals at the upcoming swimming championships. Very proud of these lady divers!
The boys, after celebrating with the girls, jumped right in with Trevor Elliott leading the way. Matthew Laslavic got off to a bit of a rocky start but staged quite the comeback. Sam Skeen and Jeremiah Laslavic also had solid showings. All advanced through to the final 3 dives of the evening where they faced a field of exceptional divers. We congratulate our boys in their fabulous efforts! After dive #11, Trevor got to stand on the #2 spot and Matthew #5 advancing them together to the PIAA state meet. Jeremiah takes 15th and Sam 16th.
These boy divers bring 34 points to the team to start the swim portion next week.
So very proud of our divers today.
Go Seneca Valley Swim & Dive Team!!!
